Aster DM Healthcare Ltd was establish in 1987, Aster DM Healthcare Ltd is based in Dubai and is one of the largest private healthcare service providers which operate in India, Philippines and the multiple GCC states United Arab Emirates, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait and Bahrain, in Jordan. They operates hospitals and clinics, pharmacies, diagnostic centers, educational institutions, and healthcare management and healthcare support systems.

The company operates in multiple GCC states, India the Philippines. The company was founded in 1987 in Dubai as a single doctor clinic. Dr. Azad Moopen is the founder of the company. The Indian headquarter of the company is based in Kochi, Kerala and its GCC operations headquarter is in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Currently, the company has 280 operating facilities, including 13 hospitals with a total of 2,537 beds. It has 6 hospitals, 83 clinics and 180 retail pharmacies in the GCC states, 7 multi-specialty hospitals and 3 clinics in India, and one clinic in the Philippines.

The seven hospitals of the company are located in Kochi, Kolhapur, Kozhikode, Kottakkal, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad under the “Aster”, “MIMS” or “Prime” brands. As of March 31, 2016, The Company had 12,774 employees, including 1,003 full-time doctors, 4,406 nurses, 1,063 pharmacists, 1,285 paramedics and 5,017 other employees.
